Unit for the Development of Handicrafts and Traditional Artcrafts
The goal of this unit is to create programs to develop handicrafts and rural artifacts in order to help villagers flourish in their regions and insure a better and more decent life for them. These programs include training, determination of product specifications, and support for effective marketing and raw material purchasing in such a way as to insure a better income. The following are the most important areas addressed by the unit:
1. Rural food manufacturing
2. Light textile manufacturing
3. Ceramics and pottery
4. Decorative wood
5. Needlework
6. Domestic and decorative brassware
7. Handmade plastic and leather bags and shoes
8. Hay and reed production
9. Small scale dairy production
10. Wooden and plastic toys
11. Light mechanical manufacturing and machine maintenance.
