Post-Doctoral
Research Unit
This center is different from other similar research centers in that it does not have a specific research program. Instead, researchers proceed according to their own preferences, using both the faculty archives and the network of available professors.
Many universities in the Islamic World suffer from the lack of documentation in libraries and the absence of a free researching atmosphere. The major reason for creating the Center for Post-Doctorate Research was to welcome delegates from various universities from inside and outside the Islamic World, without subjecting them to any research restrictions. The only condition is that each researcher is responsible for his or her own travel and residence expenses in Beirut. Each researcher is also requested to submit an outline of his/her proposed research in advance so that the Imam Al Ouzai faculty can provide advice as to whether or not the research can be completed in Beirut, based on the availability of relevant information.
Libraries
Each of the centers mentioned above is endowed with a private library that holds all of the center’s academic resources and references and information concerning other parallel centers. If any confusion should arise, researchers can use the university’s main library and files on issues that are of interest and that constitute part of the general framework of information documentation.
